About

Join us in conversation with Renelle Sarjeant, Shanice Bedward-Grant, and Howard Prendergast as we explore "green infrastructure" and its potential to create resilient urban environments.

Each year flood events cause significant damage to municipalities across Jamaica and result in the tragic loss of life and livelihoods. A traditional focus on exclusively human-built "grey" infrastructure makes addressing these vulnerabilities expensive, complex, and time-consuming. How can "green infrastructure" investments like urban forestry or coastal wetlands complement our existing grey infrastructure or provide more affordable alternatives?
