Since 2019 Stein Carrington has been the Principal Architect of Stein Carrington Architect Ltd, a full service design consultancy based in Trinidad and Tobago. A Registered Architect with the Board of Architecture Trinidad and Tobago (BoATT) and member of the Trinidad and Tobago Institute of Architects; he is a creative designer, with a pragmatic vision of design and its implementation.

Stein is currently the Treasurer of the Board of the Trinidad and Tobago Green Building Council (2021-present), He previously held the position of Treasurer of the Trinidad and Tobago Institute of Architects (TTIA) (2018-2021). He was also a board member of the Trinidad Transport Board, a Presidential Advisory Board of the Ministry of Works and Transport. (2015-2020). He has also held positions on other committees as part of the Trinidad and Tobago Group of Professional Associations.
