In the summer of 2025, Island City Lab and partners began construction of the Abilities Foundation Living Lab project, which includes a series of rain gardens, bioswales, and other landscape interventions to reduce flooding on the school's campus. Phase 1 was completed in December of last year.
As part of the 15th annual Caribbean Urban Forum, Island City Lab & Abilities Foundation are hosting a Tour and Fundraising Event at the Living Lab project site.
