Join us in conversation with Carlos Cadena Gaitan, Katherine Agong, and Carla Barrett, as we explore the importance of prioritizing mass-transit in our public transportation system.
The Kingston Metropolitan Region has struggled to make significant strides in developing an efficient public transportation system. A shift towards high-capacity transportation corridors can drastically cut emissions, eliminate traffic congestion, reduce road fatalities, and better connect communities to the opportunities and resources they need; mass transit could be the first option for most residents. Still, the current road infrastructure must adequately prioritize public transportation and reduce the proliferation of less efficient, low-occupancy taxis and private vehicles.
